Summary
Bijan Robinson has been a star ever since he first donned the burnt orange, fast forward 3 years later he has more than lived up to his top prospect billing. A tremendous athlete he is extremely difficult to take down in the open field especially by the first man. His ability to quickly turn over his feet and keep his balance through contact send out of control would be tacklers shooting by. His thick lower half and decisive running style means arm tackles won’t cut it. Robinson does sometimes have issues with pad level in between the tackles where he depends too much on his elusiveness when he should just put his head down. His leg drive and contact balance often bails him out him from those situations. Robinson possesses exceptional vision. He is patient behind his blocks and uses his athleticism to hug his blockers through small holes before exploding with his elite acceleration. At the second level his ability to set up defenders with his eyes and maintain his speed as he alters his course makes him a constant home run threat. In the passing game he has the body control and feet to be a dangerous receiver both when split out wide and in the backfield. Soft hands and a fundamental understanding of spacing makes him a dependable check down as well. Like all young backs he needs some work in pass pro but is still far ahead of the typical rookie. In 2022 he got a lot better about taking the fight to blitzers and often saved his QB from some big hits. The best RB prospect since Saquon Barkley has very few holes and should instantly become one of the best playmakers in the NFL.
