Summary
Felix Anudike-Uzomah has been a highly productive player over the past three years for the Kansas State Wildcats. The well rounded pass rusher has amassed over 20 sacks and 65 tackles in that time span. Anudike-Uzomah wins with plus first step quickness and excellent bend off the edge. He has above average functional strength as a rusher and does a wonderful job of converting speed to power. Anudike-Uzomah is a work in progress in terms of pass rush technique on the field but there is optimism for improvement. At his podium session at the Combine he was extremely articulate when describing how he sets up tackles over the course of the game. High IQ players will typically get better over time. As a run defender he uses his size and length to make an impact setting the edge. He plays with outstanding leverage and uses his powerful hands to forklift opposing lineman. Primarily aligned on the outside shoulder of the tackle he projects as a true EDGE defender at the next level. When asked to reduce inside he lacks the strength or size to stand up to double teams at the point of attack, limiting his potential versatility at the next level. Questions about Anudike-Uzomah lacking a true elite trait will likely knock him out of the first round due to a perceived lower ceiling. However, his well rounded game with few weaknesses indicates a high floor player with some quality pass rush upside. Anudike-Uzomah projects as an Early Day 2 pick that can step in immediately as a quality rotation player and potentially develop into a high end #2 pass rusher down the line.
