Post Super Bowl Full First Round Mock
Superbowl 59 is over putting a bow on the 2024 NFL Season. That makes it officially draft season and with a fully set draft order it’s time for teams to look ahead to their respective off-seasons.
1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward - QB - Miami (FL)
The Will Levis experiment tried and failed spectacularly in 2024. Now armed with the #1 pick, its time to reset at QB. Ward isn’t the typical top overall QB, but he is the best in this class and it’s hard to know when a team will be picking this high again.
2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter - EDGE - Penn State
The Browns have a need at QB but in a weak class it may be hard to pass up a talent like Carter. Regardless of if Myles Garrett is on the team next year or not, Carter is a difference maker for a team that needs more pass rush juice.
3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders - QB - Colorado
New York is one of the many teams in the hunt for a new quarterback this offseason, who may be willing to reach in the Top-10. Sanders lacks the typical tools of a Top-5 selection but is an experienced and polished prospect with a solid floor.
4. New England Patriots: Travis Hunter - CB/WR - Colorado
Many would argue that Travis Hunter is the best overall player in this class. Whether he steps in as the top target for Drake Maye or pairs with Christian Gonzales to form one of the top CB duos in football, he will inject talent to a team that badly needs it.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham - IDL - Michigan
The Jaguars had one of the worst defensive units in all of football in 2024. Graham is a pro-ready DT with a well rounded game, who can step in right away to create a fearsome Front-4 with Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Will Johnson - CB - Michigan.
The Raiders are a team that would love to get in on the QB sweepstakes, but at 6th overall it is likely they are left on the outside looking, leaving them to go BPA. Johnson is a talented outside CB with the man/zone versatility to be a Day-1 starter.
7. New York Jets: Tetairoa McMillan - WR - Arizona
Garrett Wilson had been one of the best young WRs in football the past couple years but has yet to receive a true running mate. McMillan’s size and ball skills would pair nicely with Wilson’s quickness and route running, regardless of who the Jets QB is next year.
8. Carolina Panthers: Shemar Stewart - EDGE - Texas A&M
Every year there is an athletic marvel with poor production that goes Top-10. This year that’s Shemar Stewart. The Panthers are a team badly in need of defensive talent and can afford to take a swing on Stewart’s freakish upside.
9. New Orleans Saints: Mykel Williams - EDGE - Georgia
Williams is similar to Stewart in the fact that the numbers don’t tell the whole story. A long athletic rusher who played through injury at Georgia, Williams has true EDGE1 tools. New Orleans is another team with a long rebuild ahead that can afford to swing on talent in the Top-10.
10. Chicago Bears: Will Campbell - OT - LSU
The main focus for the Bears and new HC Ben Johnson is protecting their investment in Caleb Williams. Will Campbell is arguably the top tackle in this class with the versatility to play all 5 spots along the line.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Tyler Warren - TE - Penn State
Trenches is a popular pick for the 49ers here at #11 but don’t rule out a playmaker, especially with the pending departure of WR Deebo Samuel. Warren has the blocking and receiving ability to be a dynamic partner to long time starter George Kittle, and brings the mentality Kyle Shanahan would love as a blocker.
12. Dallas Cowboys: Ashton Jeanty - RB - Boise State
Sometimes the easy and obvious pick is the right one. The Cowboys badly need juice in their offense and run game and there is no better player do provided that than Jeanty.
13. Miami Dolphins: Josh Simmons - OT - Ohio State
Simmons had his 2024 season cut short due to an injury but was well on track to be the top tackle in this class. His movement skills and length would be a perfect fit in the Dolphins offense at either tackle spot.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Malaki Starks - SAF - Georgia
Every year there is a talented safety who drops further than they should. Starks is a versatile and experienced player who would be an excellent fit on the backend for new DC Lou Anarumo.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Mike Green - EDGE - Marshall
The Falcons have been looking for any semblance of a pass rusher for the better part of the last half decade. Green, a small school rusher who lit up the Senior Bowl, is an explosive bendy weapon off the edge who can provide that.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Jalon Walker - EDGE/LB - Georgia
Walker is one of the more interesting prospects in this class. He is very talented, but doesn’t have a defined position. For a team like Arizona that needs help all along it’s Front-7 the talent should outweigh the questions.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Kenneth Grant - IDL - Michigan
Few teams need defensive help quite like the Bengals. A free agent exodus in recent years on that side of the ball has left their Front-7 depleted. Grant is a big athletic tackle who should help shore up their run defense immediately.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Armand Membou - OT/OG - Missouri
Ask any Seahawks fan what they need and they will let you know its offensive line. Membou is one of the more talented linemen in this class at only 21 years old. He is a college RT who projects favorably to slide inside to guard.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: James Pearce Jr. - EDGE - Tennessee
Pearce is a long explosive speed rusher with multiple years of strong production. He will bring a level of juice off the edge that the Bucs have sorely been missing in recent years.
20. Denver Broncos: Colston Loveland - TE - Michigan
The Broncos were one of the surprise teams breakout teams in 2024 but their offense still largely relies on tricks and misdirection to move the ball. Loveland is a silky smooth route runner with athletic ability to be a mismatch player on an offense that needs difference makers.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Matthew Golden - WR - Texas
The Steelers have long been on the hunt for a WR to pair with George Pickens. Golden was a late breakout in the 2024 season, but he is a plus athlete with the separation quickness to pair nicely with Pickens more vertical game.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Tyler Booker - OG - Alabama
Harbaugh and the Chargers have made a clear emphasis to rebuild their team through the trenches. A year after taking Joe Alt at #5, Booker at #20 would be a similarly minded pick. He is an experienced and powerful lineman, who would be able to step in immediately and fix one of their guard spots.
23. Green Bay Packers: Walter Nolen - IDL - Ole Miss
Nobody loves taking athletic defensive lineman from the SEC quite like the Packers. Nolen is an explosive and slippery defender with the tools to be a three down difference maker.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Jahdae Barron - CB - Minnesota
With both the Vikings starting CBs expected to be pending Free Agents, it is a massive need for one of the better units in football. Barron is an intelligent DB with the versatility and tackling ability to be a nice weapon for Flores’ defense.
25. Houston Texas: Kelvin Banks - OG - Texas
The Texans offensive line was one of the biggest disasters in football this past year, and was a huge reason for their inconsistent offensive performances. Banks is college LT who projects best as a guard and would be a quick solution on the left side for Houston.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Benjamin Morrison - CB - Notre Dame
Morrison has tape befitting a much higher pick than this, but a hip injury that cut his 2024 season short creates a cloudy projection. For a team like the Rams who are picking later than their overall team talent suggests, taking a swing on the talent and upside of Morrison at this point in the draft is worth a shot.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Josh Conerly Jr. - OT - Oregon
Ronnie Stanley is a pending Free Agent for Baltimore, leaving a massive hole at LT. Conerly. similar to their 2nd round pick Roger Rosengarten last year, is a young athletic tackle. Even if Stanley is resigned, he could man either guard spot until asked to take over on the outside in the long run.
28. Detroit Lions: Nic Scourton - EDGE - Texas A&M
The Lions have been in a the market for an EDGE opposite Aidan Hutchinson for a while. Scourton had a down 2024 but his 2023 tape shows a quick and powerful rusher who would fit well along the Lions odd front.
29. Washington Commanders: Luther Burden III - WR - Missouri
Washington was one of the best stories in 2024 behind Jayden Daniels breakout rookie season, but still lacks a lot of talent. Burden is an explosive playmaker with the ball in his hands and would add a layer of underneath dependability to go with Terry McLaurin’s vertical ability.
30. Buffalo Bills: Derrick Harmon - IDL - Oregon
One of the biggest weaknesses for an otherwise stout Bills defense was their run defense. Harmon is a sound run defender with a wide base but also brings some pass rush upside as evidenced by his FBS leading 55 pressures in 2024.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Grey Zabel - IOL - North Dakota State
One of the major storylines of the Chiefs season has been the juggling of the offensive line. With the pending departure of Trey Smith at RG and questions of LG Joe Thuney’s long term position, Zabel’s ability to play all 5 spots in a pinch would be welcomed.
32. Philadelphia Eagles: T.J. Sanders - IDL - South Carolina
Like all good teams that Eagles must prepare for the loss of some of their rotation talent. DT Milton Williams, who had a strong 2024, is expected to fetch major dollars this Free Agency. Sanders is an explosive undersized 3T who would fit snuggly into a rotation with Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter.
