Scouting Report
Elic Ayomanor is a former 3-Star recruit from the state of Massachusetts. A Canadian born player, he moved to America prior to his junior season in high school, where he was a football and track standout. Ayomanor missed his senior year of high school and freshman year of college with knee injuries before seeing the field. In 2023 and 2024, he was an All-Conference honoree after leading Stanford in receiving - by a wide margin - in back to back seasons.
Ayomanor is a big bodied WR with plus speed and strength. He checks in with 60th percentile and above measurements in height, weight and length, to go with a 4.44 40-yard dash. Despite not playing a ton of football before 2022, Ayomanor is an extremely smart route runner. He is deliberate with his footwork to set up defenders off the line of scrimmage and at the top of his routes. Ayomanor has quick feet to get in and out of his breaks. He is at his best versus man coverage when working back to the line of scrimmage, where he can use his size and deceleration skills to create space. Against zone he is a big body over the middle that gives his quarterback easy access throws. Ayomanor has big hands that attack the ball outside his frame. He displays the leaping ability and strength to sky for the ball and secure it through contact. Ayomanor is a nasty blocker who looks for work and finishes his reps. His size and foot quickness allow him to match DBs and dominate. When aligned in condensed splits he has the physical ability crack down and seal defensive lineman as well.
Ayomanor is a well rounded athlete but isn’t particularly explosive. Below average burst and change of direction skills limit his ceiling on the outside. He struggles to quickly win vertically off the line and stack press corners. His separation skills on sharp horizontal routes are lackluster because he doesn’t explode out of his lateral cuts. The same lack of juice impacts him as a ball carrier. Ayomanor was used as a high ADOT target in college, but even on the rare designed tough he didn’t show much. His size lets him shed a tackler or two, but he lacks the burst to create chunk plays. Ayomanor has good hands but is prone to the occasional concentration drop. His drops typically show up on quick hitters where he takes his eyes off the ball to get upfield.
Ayomanor profiles as an solid X-WR but could be dominant F. Given his average burst ,and separation skills that are closer to good than great, he would benefit from a 75/25 outside-in split. Ayomanor projects as a Top-50 pick, while he lacks the top end tools to be a clear first rounder, he is part of the Tier-2 WR types that typically have their range start in the 20’s.
